Math
All classes will be working on problem solving for multiplying and dividing fractions. Sometimes it is hard to tell which operation is appropriate. We will be reviewing the computation in an upcoming DMR.
We will begin work on classifying rational numbers. Have your child play the video we watched in class. Pretty catchy tune.
Integers are up next. Operations and problem solving.
Enrichment
This class is held daily from 1:30 - 2:00. It is designed to give our students more time to practice math concepts. This past week (Sept. 25 - 29) students were to complete for a major grade a simple color page. They then had to determine the fraction, decimal and percent representation of the picture. Students are not allowed to take home what they are working on in class until it is finished.
This week (Oct 2 - 6) each class will be working on a different concept. Ask your child what they are working on.
Next week (Oct 10 - 13) we will begin our Weekly Homework.
