We will be wrapping up our timelines that we started in 5th grade. Each student will need an empty "pringle" type can.  Pringle cans work the best.  All cans need to be here at Mitchell by May 21.

Please check student/parent access and take care of missing work. 

We will be reviewing all 5 strands for STAAR this week.  Each day a new packet of 18-20 will be worked on and due for a grade the following day.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!  Students will begin work in enrichment and continue in class.  

STAAR is May 14 and 15th!!

All classes will have a DMR Quiz on May 4. 

Please remember your child's enrichment work is part of a major grade. 

All classes will be Data including Bar and Percent graphs, Stem and Leaf, Dot plots, histograms and dot plots.  We will covering a great deal of information in a very short period of time. 

STAAR is only 2 weeks away.

We will have a new DMR this week.  

Last week your child received Part 1 of 3 in enrichment of a benchmark review.  This week's enrichment will be due on Friday the 6th.  

All classes will be starting work on finding a percent of a number. Next will be finding area and volume of various figures.  

Our Middle of the Year benchmark will be on April 16.

Math

All classes will have a new DMR.  Our quiz will be on March 29. Our DMR is a mixed review of fractions, decimals and one step equations. 

All classes are working on the different parts of PROPORTIONS.  We will start with ratios, rates and unit rates.  We will progress to finding equivalent proportions.  More to come next week.  

Common Assessment practice will be done in class on Friday with the assessment itself next week. 

Enrichment will be due (as always) in class on Friday the 23rd.
