Math
Students are told repeatedly to take their work home everyday to show parents what we are working on in class. The only paper they can not take home until Friday is the Weekly Review that we work on daily during Enrichment time. That paper is graded in class on the following Monday.
Students also have the opportunity to make corrections on work that has a failing grade to improve their grade. They can earn points back, but the highest grade possible is a 70. For the most part students grade their own work and know before I do how they did on the paper. Corrections should be done on a separate piece of paper. Please do not alter the original answer. I ask that corrections be turned in the follow day.
I have also told the students that they can check their answer with a calculator after they complete the problem.
All classes will have a DMR quiz on Monday the 6th due to the benchmark on the 3rd. After the quiz we will have the Chromebooks and discuss Learning Farm.
